Ch. Ningsia's I'm A Keeper (Keeper)Sire: Ch. Beswicks Once Upon A Time Keeper is 3 years old and just a little love. He is a very quite dog but sneaky. When he was a puppy he could squeeze through the kennel run gates and play in the kennel room then go back in before you knew it. It took me a long time to figure out just who was playing during the day while I was at work. When he reached a year old I shaved him down since he had more hair than three Shih Tzu put together and being on the smaller size and shy, I thought he would not show. When his first 2 puppies Ch. Ningsia's Chun Kee-Bob and Ch. Ningsia's French Connection finished within a few months, I just had to look at him again. He has a beautiful body with straight front legs, short back, level top line and good bite. So I grew him out. Since growing him back out, his coat is perfect. I brush him every 2 weeks and give him a bath. I put just a little oil spray on it and he stays matt free until I do him again. At present he is co-owned by Charlee at Pien Ji. Keeper finished very quickly, to everyone's surprise (of
course I knew what was under all that hair). He was shown in very few
shows and stayed with Charlee for about six months. He took his first
major in July (he had singles before the July show). Then in August he
went Reserve at the Puget Sound Shih Tzu Fanciers Specialty and the next two
days of shows went Winners Dog for 2- four point majors, which finished him in
style. Not bad for a dog that never left the kennel until he was three!
